HOT FORMING First Metals hot forming department will process high carbon steels at tempetures up to 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. We routinely process steel up to 2” thick. Our engineering staff can assist you with the necessary design of these types of parts. These include 1050 through 1095 spring steel and 5160 class steels. Typical applications are springs, bumper support, tractor drawbars and hood hinges.
